I bought it's twin from Derrick. I love the amp, and it absolutely rips with a boost in front of it. A little noisey compared to other amps with a built in gate, but it's got tone for dayssssss.

That issue also happened to me with my Schecter C1 Platinum but on the bridge pickup, selecting that pickup was like flipping a coin, sometimes would work but sometimes just seemed to be turned off. Time later i just took my guitar with a tech and problem solved but that might be a common problem with some schecter guitars

I have viewed exactly 3,762 videos reviewing different amps. 3,761 of them claim the clean channel is SO GOOD. The one that did not went straight to face melt because nobody gives AF about the clean channel. I don't think you guys would know a bad clean channel if it walked up and kicked you in the nuts.

I have a DSL40 and I do wish each of the 4 channels had their own EQ. Well, this amp is what I am looking for in that respect. This is way more amp than I will ever need though. Oh well. More than anything, putting a compression in the front of the amp and an EQ in the back, it really wakes up the overdrives without an overdrive pedal. Maybe this amp would benefit as well. Growing up, it was always do you want Marshall or Modern? The OD2 sounds like a combination of both, but not truly hitting the end points of a JCM800 or a Rectifier. It's always going to be somewhere in between. If someone just wants a fully pushed and modded 800 2203, then they're just going to have to go get a modded 800 2203 and push it. If they want a more "modern" sounding amp like a Rectifier. Then they're going to have to go get a Rectifier. I don't think either group will ever be truly happy with this amp. This does sound like an amp for those who like to tweak EQ knobs and get a million different sounds. Or you can be like this guy and have 25 different amps stacked up behind you to get those 25 unique sounds. To each their own.

i bought a torpedo captor for my first loadbox and it sounded so bad i put it back in its box after 5 minutes of using it (aka realizing i wasnt crazy, it wasnt any of my connections or settings, and that the problem was in fact that the unit sounded like s#%t). i got a Fryette PS-2 Power Station and havent looked back. it STILL does color your tone, but your tone can be worked into one you love at any volume and, if youre like me and have a small 25 watt amp, at higher volumes your tone will sound even BETTER & punchier because of the 6L6 tubes the module has. so if youre reading this wondering if you should get a Torpedo Captor, *Do Not.* get a Fryette Power Station or, if you want a cheaper alternative, the Rivera Rockcrusher looks great as well - i almost went with that one and 100% would have if the PS-2 didnt exist.

If you still have that Peavey Ultra 120, and feel the need to get rid of it, I'll gladly let you give it to me as a birthday gift. 😁😁😁

More people buying the better gear is good because the manufacturer builss more, sells more, the price of s top of the line amp or guitar or bix goes down, the company doesn't go out of business, they get more feedback on what people wabt in an amp. Thats why the eddie van halen tube amos and guitars from fender and peavey sold so well, people wanted something from a player he had success with, and did more than just sound like eddie. I wouldnt have bought my 5150 2x12 conbo from Peavey if i hadnt liked eddie's pkaying and sound, i dont go for peavey. I goy a 6505 + combo later used for $350 because i understood what they were goingvfor when they tried to soeacualize the 5150 blick letter soubd. But if it had been a Beian Adams or Brad Paisley amp i would have passed on both. Im not into Brian Adams.or Brad Paisley. BeIdes, in sone cases, amp sims especially, the price is be oming more agfordable in general, which shows how a markets succes can make good reasonably priced products. Great video, Kyle!

Well yeah, but No. Take any Cort guitar, with higher specs, it will cost half the price with better quality. And having Nickel frets, seriously? Sounds like disaster to me. This guitar isn’t bad, it’s lower than average. For the money you can get a way better instrument.
